Keynote

The auditorium in 3D

The future will be human, but not as we know it, nor anchored in the past

At the close of the talk we showed the auditorium we were sitting in, turned into a 3D simulation you can walk through in the browser. It was built with AI on the same day, from the photos on this page.

The starting photos

The first three are from the TEDxSantoDomingo event Carlos Miranda Levy co-organized in this hall in 2026; the other two are from the 2025 graduation of the Lycée Français de Saint-Domingue. In all of them, AI blurred recognizable faces before publication.

The instruction

Create a 3D simulation of the UNPHU Auditorium for this presentation, from these photos.

The instruction in its simple form, as shown in the presentation; the agents’ work followed the steps described below.

How it was made

  1. AI agents read every photo and inferred the shape of the hall: the stage, the proscenium, the seats, the aisles, the ceiling, the materials and the light.
  2. They wrote those measurements down as a parametric spec in meters, which separates what the photos show from what was estimated.
  3. From that spec they built the hall in the browser, with Three.js, and also a Blender model. The photos are not used as textures: everything is generated from the spec.
