At the heart of CEMI is a collective of hundreds of AI Personais and agents — carefully crafted, each with a rich backstory and a distinct personality and voice, curated and constantly evolving. They are not interchangeable chatbots: they are characters with perspectives, working alongside our human team, our partners, and the members of our community to bring genuine diversity of thought to every project.

We build each one as the strongest, most sympathetic version of the view it represents — steelman, never strawman — so that when they reason, advise, create, or debate, the result reflects a real plurality of perspectives rather than a single flattened answer.

How they work with us

Every Personai can serve in many roles — a chatbot, an advisor, a collaborator inserted into a process, a creator, a team member, a digital assistant, or a digital twin. They collaborate with our human team, our partners, and the members of our community, bringing relevant perspectives exactly where they add value, while humans set direction, exercise judgment, and stay accountable.

The collective is built on a discipline of honesty: Personais are educational, original, or inspired-by identities — never impersonations of real people — and they are held to the same rules against fabrication that govern everything we publish.

People and organizations in the collective

The collective is not only artificial. Individuals and organizations take part in it directly — collaborating and interacting with the Personais and with our initiatives, and adding value with their own perspectives, expertise, and lived experience. Some join a conversation, review work, or lend a discipline we do not have in the room. Others arrive with an initiative of their own and build it alongside ours.

That exchange is the point rather than a courtesy. A collective of Personais alone would only ever reflect what it was built from; it is the people and organizations working with it who keep it honest, current, and useful — and who take away as much as they bring.
